Pray for Bronson

This tragic story really hit home for me. I somehow feel so connected and completely understanding of this mommy. I'm not sure if it's because I have boys his same age or just because I am a mother and couldn't even imagine the guilt and pain that this poor mommy is going through. I have become completely obsessed with checking up on Bronson's status and how he is doing. He and his family are constantly on my mind and I find myself getting teary eyed through out the day thinking about him and praying constantly for them in my mind as I go about my daily duties.
To make a long story short (click the link for the whole story and start on the post dated February 1st), this little baby boy-almost 16 months old, drown in the bathtub last Saturday and is in the hospital fighting for his life. I wanted to share it with anyone and everyone so that we can all pray for this sweet baby and his dear mommy. I so hope that he can make a full recovery.

Wheeler Farm

This afternoon Tyler and I took the boys to Wheeler Farm. I have only been there one time and it was for a charity walk like 4 years ago, so I have never gotten to walk around and check out all the cool things there. Crew and Carter were very interested in all of the animals and all of the different noises that they make. It was really fun, the weather was perfect and the best thing is that it was FREE! This cute little goat stuck his head out of the fence at the boys and Carter tried to feed him his bottle.

What we've been up to...

So, I know it has been forever since I blogged and IM SORRY!!! I dont know why it is such a difficult thing for me to do cause I really do enjoy it! Life has been a little crazy and out of whack for us for the past year with everything that has gone on with living arrangements, school, jobs, layoffs and twins with another on the way but here is what the boys have been up to....

Were growing up way too fast...

We found out we are having a baby brother in December...

Went to Grandma Jo's house for a week and learned to be master chefs...

And concert pianists..

Ate a hot fudge sundae at McDonalds...

Made a few phone calls...

Have been the worst sleepers possible....except when mom is holding us...then we sleep like little angels...

We rode Tanner's dog, Brutus, around the house...

We learned how much fun it is to be naked...and how to crawl away from mommy when she is trying to change our diaper...

And last but not least...We got alot cuter!

As for Tyler and I...just the same ol' stuff. We just celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary...Tyler is still in nursing school 3 days a week and will graduate in May, is working 2 days a week at Granite Peaks and for fun he goes hunting and fishing when he has time. I am staying home with the boys and trying to keep up with everything that goes with being a mom but I can't complain...I couldnt be happier! I love my 3 boys and cant wait to have the 4th with us soon!

Bottles and Easter

Hallelujah!! Crew and Carter can officially hold their own bottles!! I think its kinda bitter sweet for me because they can now feed themselves, so they like to just have a nap in their crib instead of snuggling with me. This is a picture of them on Easter at great grandma's house. Their little outfits were so dang cute! They look so grown up now, makes me sad. ):

Feeding time

At the babies 6 month check up the pediatrician told me that our goal for the next few months is to get the boys eating 3 meals a day with bottles in between, which is what I have started to do. It has become quite a chore because they are the MESSIEST EATERS EVER!! Which is why they are only in diapers when I feed them! They love love love their baby food but still aren't quite getting the concept of how to eat without getting it everywhere. It is so so fun to watch them eat and want more. In between bites they get impatient for more and Crew grunts and tightens all up and Carter goes "um-num-num-num." So, once they are finished eating then I wash them up and re-get them dressed. So, needless to say, I have gotten really good at dressing a baby 6 times a day. Life just gets better all the time. Tyler and I are just having so much fun with our boys. Just love them!!

Success...Finally!!

I am so happy!! I have been trying and trying to get the boys to eat rice cereal and it has been unsuccessful. They always just spit it everywhere. So, today I went to Walmart and bought some green beans for them and they LOVED it! They acted like they knew just what to do, they didn't try to spit it out, it was actually a pretty clean feeding! I know, kinda something dumb to get excited over, but I am thrilled!!

Long Night...

Last night was a long night for Tyler and Crew. For the past few night Crew has been super fussy and waking up about every 15-20 minutes screaming, not sure why. We went to the doc today and he is just really congested, so maybe he just has body aches or something?? I had to work for most of the night, so Tyler was up with him. This morning I woke up and showered and when I came out to the living room, this is what I found...So so precious!

Random Pictures

Favorite Toy...

Crew and Carter absolutely love this toy, it is by far their favorite. I only have one of then, so this is how they share it. It makes a bunch of noise and lights up when the wheels turn. They are just absolutely mesmerized by it. It makes for a pretty good babysitter too! He he.

Rice cereal

So, I have been introducing the boys to rice cereal for the past few weeks and basically it just ends up being a big mess. I'm not even sure if any of it makes it into their belly or if it just gets all over their face. When I give Crew a bite he usually just kinda tastes it for a minute and then pushes it out with his tongue, but Carter thinks its pretty cool to spit it everywhere and then rub his hands in it and spread it all over his face. Last time I tried it he had it all stuck in his eyelashes, it was really funny. Hopefully soon they will start to eat rice cereal and baby food so we can kinda cut back on so much formula. I just love this picture of Crew.

The Kid Corner

We went out to eat 2 weeks ago at Olive Garden and we got put in the "kid corner"!! I had never heard of a kid corner, maybe we made it up, but we followed the host to our table, which was all the way in the back corner. It was kinda its own room and it was packed with screaming kids smearing food everywhere. We sat down for about 5 minutes before we realized where we had been seated because we could hardly hear each other speak with all of the kids screaming. We just looked at each other and said "what in the heck is the deal with all of these kids?" It was pretty funny to realize that this is now our life, screaming kids everywhere we go. Gotta love it!

Makin' me nervous...

The Boys love to stand on Daddy's hand, they smile and laugh. Its so cute, but makes me super nervous that he is going to drop them, hasn't happened yet...

Hannah leaving ):

Hannah left me and moved to Mississippi to live with Nick! I miss her so so bad and want her to come back, but she really loves it there and is so happy. She is a waitress at a steak house and makes tons of money cause she's so freakin cute! We are going down to visit Nick, Amanda, the kids and Hannah at the end of May and I can't hardely wait! Love you Hanny!

Bouncin' Off the Walls!!

We went to a cousins birthday party at Bouincin' off the walls, such a fun place! We took the boys down the slide, I thought that they would be scared or cry, but they acted like it was no big deal!

This is Tyler and I coming down the slide on our bellys. It was super fun but as you can see at the end of the video, I burned my elbow rubbing on the vinyl on the slide. It bled and oozed for a while and then scabbed over, I can't even remember the last time I had a scab!

Currently my fave pic...

This is currently my favorite picture of the boys. I just love it!

The Goose....that now hangs in our living room!

Tyler shot this lovely goose about 2 years ago. He took it to the taxidermy place after he shot it and the guy called about a month ago and said "It's ready to be picked up." Tyler was so so excited to go get it, so we packed up the boys and headed to Centerville to pick it up. It was way huger that I thought it was going to be and I had to sit in the back with the boys on the way home cause it took up the whole front seat and half of the drivers seat! So, we got home and he thought that it would be great to hang it in our living room right about the love seat couch! So, being the sweet, loving, kind, gentle, caring wife that I am, I didn't make a big deal about it (even though I don't love that there is a dead stuffed bird hanging above our couch) and so, there it hangs. And when people sit on that couch, especially women for some reason, they always say "I feel like this thing is going to poop on me!" But Tyler is thrilled and loves it, so I'm happy!

The nightly routine...

The nightly routine...it's getting old, but we still love it. And since we don't have a bath tub at our new apartment I have been using this little tub for them to bathe in, but since these pictures were taken they have grown out of this tub so I had to break down and actually buy a baby bath tub which seems to work much better but allows them to stretch out and kick their legs which in turn allows them to splash wildly and soak me! So, the routine goes like this....around 7:00 I start to gather the things that the boys need for their bath. A beach towel for the tub to sit on because they splash everywhere and get the carpet wet, baby wash, baby lotion, 2 towels, 2 wash cloths, 2 diapers, baby powder, 2 pairs or pj's and clean blankies for bed time. So, I wash each baby separately which takes about 10-15 minutes each, then lotion them, put on a clean diaper and then they have "naked time" as we call it, for about 15 minutes. They just love to be naked (in a diaper of course)! Then we get them dressed, make 2 warm bottles, swaddle them in blankies, rock them to sleep (some nights, not every night), and lay them in bed, usually around 8:30. If we don't do this same routine every night, they wake up around 11:00 pm and want to play for 2 hours. It's horrible! Then I wash the 10 bottles from the day, let them dry while I get ready for bed and then put the powder in each one so in the middle of the night I don't have to think too hard to make the bottles, just add water. Then Tyler and I usually hang out for an hour and then go to bed around 10:30 or 11, then wake up around 2:30 or 3 for a feeding because NO they do not sleep through the night yet!! Not sure when that going to happen, but we are working on it.

Sorry about the weiner shot! ha ha

NY Yankees

Tyler's grandpa bought these cute Yankees t-shirts for the boys. He loves the Yankees and was just thrilled to give the shirts to them. Tyler's grandparents are the neatest people, just love them!
